Elizabeth Northcut Williams is a fine artist who lives and works in North Charleston, SC with her husband, three children, rescue dog and parakeet.

She grew up in Louisville, KY, with family who valued making beautiful things.  With that encouragement she received her BFA in painting and has been blessed with art “work” ever since.  Her paintings and drawings can be found in the homes of collectors across the country.  She participates in juried exhibitions, she teaches drawing and painting, and most of all she loves encouraging people to appreciate their own creativity and process.

When Elizabeth paints a single subject, a portrait, a flower, a bottle of wine, a chair, she is motivated by intimacy and uniqueness.  She honors the details with careful painting and drawing techniques, just as she hopes to honor the significance of the subject itself.

When she paints a landscape or a mural, she is inspired by the enormity and complexity of our environments.  Using layers of paint with contrasting colors and patterns, she captures the mystery of natures essence through abstraction.

Please reach out to discuss commissioning her for any type of project. She offers private art instruction and portfolio reviews, as well as teaching workshops on a limited basis.  She enjoys collaboration and loves translating ideas into meaningful visual expression.  Once you work with her, you'll probably end up being friends and calling her Beth.
